Idara E. Bassey is the Managing Attorney for the Atlanta office of The Walker Law Group, P.C.

She is a Cum Laude graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where she studied French Literature. She then earned a law degree and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Public International Law from the University of Georgia and became licensed to practice in Georgia in 1997.

After completing her legal education she became one of the youngest executives at Africare, the largest African-American operated nonprofit in the US doing work on the African continent. She directed a support program for D.C.- based African diplomats; mobilizing high-level officials from the White House, the World Bank, the IMF and USAID on their behalf before subsequently being named as the organization's in-house legal counsel.

She spent several years contracting with major law firms assisting in large-scale litigation, mergers & acquisitions, and translating corporate documents from French to English.

In 2003 she entered the world of academia teaching courses on the US legal system, domestic and international business & trade law and has attained the rank of Associate Professor.

She is a lifelong spiritual seeker and prides herself on assessing legal matters from a holistic perspective and treating clients with respect.
